A total of 643 middle and high school teams from 43 states and the District of Columbia have registered for the world's largest rocket contest and are designing and building their vehicles by hand.
The top 100 teams, competed on May 17, in the Great Meadows in The Plains, VA for bragging rights as the Team America Rocketry Challenge winners! Prizes included $60,000 in cash and scholarships split between the top 10 finishers.

The Coalition for Space is partnering with AIA and NAR to provide a digital photo kiosk that allows participants and visitors to picture themselves at a spectacular rocket launch or on a space walk at the International Space Station. Later, participants can log on to this page to download their favorite images, send to a cell phone or computer or send them to a friend.
